Industries We Serve

AFT software is used in more than 18 industries

Since 1994, AFT has been trusted by engineers around the world to help design and troubleshoot their projects. If you do not see your industry listed, don’t worry – if your system includes liquid or gas piping or ducting systems, AFT software can most likely model it.

Oil & Gas

Whether it be refining, pipelines, off-shore or LNG, AFT software is able to model your oil or gas system.

Power

Some of the biggest names in energy trust AFT software to help keep the lights on and cool generation equipment.

Aerospace

“We choose to go to the moon, not because it is easy, but because it is hard”, but AFT makes your hydraulic analysis easy.

Nuclear

Not only is AFT software nuclear validated, it’s been trusted and proven to help keep that pesky radiation to the reaction chamber.

Chemical & Petrochemical

Whether your plant is 50 years old, or only on paper, AFT software ensures it will run for years to come.

Water and Wasterwater

Your water system never sleeps. AFT software helps ensure your system works as well at at 100,000 hours plus.

Mining and Minerals

From dewatering systems and ventilation to slurry handling and leaching systems, AFT software can simulate the flow.

HVAC and Facilities

AFT software can keep you cool… and hot! Data centers, district cooling, or commercial systems can all be modeled.

Data Centers

Whether your plant is 50 years old, or only on paper, AFT software ensures it will run for years to come.

Food & Beverage

Your water system never sleeps. AFT software helps ensure your system works as well at at 100,000 hours plus.

Pulp & Paper

From dewatering systems and ventilation to slurry handling and leaching systems, AFT software can simulate the flow.

Fire Protection

6 Reasons Why You Need Flow Analysis

Many engineering companies have adopted an internal policy requiring a flow analysis be conducted before piping designs are issued.

This is great news because engineering companies are providing designs with more intelligence built into the system, which would not be there without a flow analysis. These systems will operate more reliably, safely, and efficiently to allow owners and operators to maximize profits while minimizing repair costs and downtime.

“If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it” is no longer a valid excuse for not going the extra mile to achieve better performance.

Why Flow Analysis Is Neglected

We hope you enjoyed our previous article. But now… let’s get a bit serious and talk about three main reasons why flow analysis is neglected during the design process. It could be straight neglect, or unconscious neglect. Either way we will open the conversation and provide some insight taken directly from feedback we have received from hundreds of happy AFT customers around the world.

You might be familiar with one or two of these points. Some may be in your control and others might be outside of your reach. Regardless, we hope that if you do find yourself within one of these realms – you will contact AFT to see how we can help you navigate within a software evaluation and show you how to easily overcome any of the below points.

Let’s get started.
