MIT Equation for Crude Oil

The MIT Equation for crude oil is a model appropriate for determining the pressure drop in pipelines carrying crude oil. The equation used is a modified form of the MIT equation defined in the Pipeline Rules of Thumb Handbook.

This equation is available for use in AFT Fathom and AFT Impulse as the pressure model for any specific pipes.
