It is important to properly size and characterize compressors. AFT Arrow allows engineers to model centrifugal and reciprocating compressors. Centrifugal compressors can be modeled by entering a performance curve. Reciprocating compressors can be modeled with a fixed flow rate through the compressor. The heat of compression can also be modeled in AFT Arrow for both compressor types, quantifying the temperature rise of the fluid.
